Club Welfare Officers play a crucial role in grassroots football, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, especially children. They are responsible for implementing safeguarding policies, providing a safe environment, and being a trusted point of contact for any concerns. Their presence helps to create a supportive atmosphere where children feel secure and valued. It’s essential for children to know they can ask for help, as this fosters a culture of openness and trust. When children are aware that there are dedicated individuals they can turn to, it encourages them to speak up about any issues, promoting their overall development and enjoyment of the sport.

Do the children in your club know who their Welfare Officer is?
