In a significant achievement for grassroots football, Liverpool County FA has been awarded the prestigious Safeguarding Fundamentals Silver Award.

This accolade recognises the association’s unwavering commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all participants in the sport.

The Safeguarding Fundamentals Silver Award is a testament to Liverpool County FA’s dedication to implementing robust safeguarding policies and practices. It highlights the association’s proactive approach to ensuring the welfare of players, coaches, and volunteers across the region.

Key Achievements:

  • Comprehensive Training Programs: Liverpool County FA has conducted extensive safeguarding training for coaches, referees, and club officials, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle safeguarding concerns.
  • Community Engagement: The association has actively engaged with local communities to promote awareness and understanding of safeguarding issues, fostering a culture of safety and respect. There is a dedicated Safeguarding Team to support Club Welfare Officers in raising awareness and reporting concerns so that action can be taken.
  • Policy Implementation: Rigorous safeguarding policies have been implemented, with regular reviews and updates to ensure they meet the highest standards.
